Kathleen and I vacationed in Peru January 2002.  

These are some of our impressions and our opinions.  It is probable that some of our memories will be faulty. A major reason we made these pages is so that we can look back down the road and bring back happy memories.

There will be several links to other pages for pictures even though pictures cannot capture the beauty of the land.      

We flew from Akron, OH, with a stop in Atlanta, GA; arrived in  Lima, Peru just before midnight.  A tour guide met us at the airport and drove us to our hotel in Miraflores, an exclusive residential district of Lima.  A 3,750 mile flight without changing time zones.

The next morning the two of us walked around the area of the hotel, ate breakfast, and then met our tour guide and the other 11 tour members.  After the orientation we all took a walk and then took a tour of the city.   We had another City tour the last afternoon before leaving for home.

Early the next morning we flew from Lima to Cusco.  We stayed in the Cusco area until the day before we departed for home.

We turned out to be very fortunate.  All the members of the tours were people that we would like as friends.  The tour guide was very knowledgeable, spoke wonderful English, and kept us in line with seemingly no pressure or impatience.  This was a great trip.
