Dachau Concentration Camp 
This was the first and one of the more infamous of
the concentration
camps in Germany.
It was a must stop for us.


We We visited the museum, gift shop and went in the few buildings still open, including the crematorium.
Many of the pictures were graphic.
This visit was sobering and unforgettable.

One of the pictures below is a sign in four languages.  This is what the sign reads:

MAY THE EXAMPLE OF THOSE WHO WERE EXTERMINATED HERE BETWEEN 1933-1945
BECAUSE THEY RESISTED  NAZISM HELP TO UNITE THE LIVING FOR THE DEFENSE OF PEACE
AND FREEDOM AND IN RESPECT FOR THEIR FELLOW MEN
