Susan gave me sets of miniature magnets.  For many weeks I made designs on the refrigerator, kept them there for a short while and then, replaced them.   These are two of the three that were photographed. I did the one above. Not sure who did the one above. I did enjoy playing with them, as did a few other family members.  I still have the magnets. Maybe we quit using them as they are a health hazard if swallowed. By the way, the hanger was never used to hang clothing. A demonstration of what can
happen when pottery falls
about 8' to a hard floor.

Thanksgiving 1971 This picture is special as I had not remembered this trio playing cards together. I love it, and miss my mother.

Seeing Happy Kathleen makes us Happy.
<<< This is the story of one Racoon, well maybe two, but not "The Five Little Racoons" as in my favorite book as a child. Kathleen bought me that book as a special present many years later. Kathleen had said for a few days that someone or something was running around over our heads while we were in bed. I was unaware of the noise. I eventually went into the attic over the garage and after a long search found this racoon. Later, while talking to a neighbor across the street I asked him why he did not have a cage to put her in. He said he did. Kay and I enticed her out of the attic into the cage and we released her into the wild. For some reason we were not satisfied so I returned to the attic. I saw a wall into the main house that was partly chewed up. Looking further I saw something even more amazing, a baby racoon. I removed the very weak baby and took it to where I had released its mother, the back of our yard. Somehow I doubt there was a joyful reunion. I probably could have done more. After this experience we no longer left trap door in the garage open with the stairs down. Never thought a creature would climb up the stairs into the attic to give birth.
