Kathleen Minnie Nitz (McDowell) was born in this house, 1360 Lenora Ave, Akron, OH on January 8, 1932. We spent a while looking around the yards but house was unoccupied so could not get invited in. |

she lived on this John Barbour Farm in Garden Grove Iowa.
The area is a treasure trove of my ancestors history. Of course that could be said of other parts of Iowa also. |

This is Mary Sink. The mother of Isabel Sink of the famous Neal Sink Farm where I spent parts of 5 summers during WWII. I never met her I did meet her husband who was once Mayor of Van Wert Iowa the PO address of the farm. Her name on the back of this picture cleared up to me ,with the help of my son, the McDowell connection to the farm Mary Ellen Barbour Hastings Nellie Barbour McDowell was my Grandmother So sisters helped bring me there. |
